The hotel was newly opened in 2008 and offers 20 comfortable, rustic-style rooms. A cosy breakfast lounge, foyer and reception area were added to the hotel.

A rich breakfast buffet is included in the rate. The restaurant is open from Thursday until Sunday and offers hot food from 11:30 until 21:00.
The hotel offers a snug ambience in the Bauernstüberl (farmer’s lounge), Jägerstüberl (hunter’s lounge) or Wildererstüberl (poacher’s lounge), as well as in the Schankstube bar. Try some unique delicacies and fresh specialities from the in-house butcher’s, or treat yourself to some homemade cakes and pastries in the afternoon.
You also have the opportunity to purchase some foodstuffs during the opening times of the restaurant. The hotel only sells its own homemade specialities, either meats prepared by Sepp the landlord, or cakes and pasties made by Inge the landlady.

The convenient location of the hotel just 20 km south of Munich, makes it an ideal base for your business appointments as well as leisure pursuits. The hotel is idyllically situated in the foothills of the Alps and has marvellous motorway connections to Garmisch or Salzburg, both of which are just a 15-minute drive away.
Lake Starnberg is also only a 20-minute drive away, as are the Bavaria film studios, the Alpamare swimming pool or the summer toboggan run on the Blomberg mountain.

From the A8 motorway towards Salzburg: take the Hofoldinger Forst exit and head for Wolfratshausen. After 10 km you reach the approach to the town of Öhnböck. Turn off to the right towards Aufhofen and the hotel is one km ahead.
From the A95 motorway towards Garmisch: take the Wolfsratshausen exit. Take the A8 motorway towards Salzach, and after 10 km you come to the town of Egling. Turn left at the roundabout and head for München/Grünwald. After one km turn right again and pass through Dettingen. Follow the road for 2 km until you reach Aufhofen.

Our traditional, time-honoured hotel enjoys a tranquil location on the outskirts of Aufhofen, 20 km south of Munich.
Come here and relax in these natural surroundings. Go for a long walk through meadows and woods, or go sunbathing by the nearby forest pond. Linger for a while in summer in our beautiful beer garden, and have some fun in the adjacent games area. Enjoy a cool beer and a hearty snack from our in-house butcher’s.
